Mabee Library Student Workers  

Student workers are essential to the successful daily operations of the Mabee Library. They help at the circulation/reference desk, help reshelve materials, and perform a myriad of duties. You may speak with not only library faculty and staff, but also the student workers, in order to obtain assistance relating to library use, and information about collections, technology, and services.

Jill Crew, Student Worker

Jill is a Sophomore, majoring in Elementary Education. She loves dogs and other animals. She enjoys being with her friends and family. She shared that before working at a daycare, she used to not like children. Now she is going to be a teacher!

Becky Cromer, Student Worker

Becky is a Junior, majoring in Nursing. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in the campus improv team shows and viewing funny cat pictures. Becky lives her life by the motto, "I can't carry the ring, but I can carry you." She worked in the library over the summer, helping with a number of special projects.

Daniel Flurer, Student Worker

Daniel is a Junior, majoring in Accounting. He is a dog person and an avid reader (his favorite authors are Tom Clancy, George R. R. Martin, and James Patterson). He also worked in the library over the summer, helping with a number of special projects.

Carrie Frizzell, Student Worker

Carrie is a Sophomore, majoring in Mathematics and Pre-Dental. She is from Topeka, but notes that she is a "Connecticut Yankee at heart." She plays the violin, and loves to draw and paint. Interestingly, her mother worked at Mabee Library in the 1980s.

Jamie Furnas, Student Worker

Jamie is a Freshman, majoring in Nursing. She is from Springfield, Missouri, but was actually born at the Olathe Medical Center. She loves the arts and enjoys reading. She notes that she has broken two bones and has had stitches twice.

Emily Gauer, Student Worker

Emily is a Junior, majoring in Accounting. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend. She loves to sing and listen to music. She also loves scrapbooking and watching movies. She reports that she can recite the beginning of the Declaration of Independence.

Andrea Holt, Student Worker

Andrea is a Senior, majoring in Biology. The ocean is where her fascination lies, and she loves learning about and experiencing marine life through scuba diving and snorkeling. She hopes to get into the marine science field after graduating!

Brady Klein, Student Worker

Brady is a Freshman, majoring in Intercultural Studies. He reports that he is very active: he loves to run and write. An interesting fact about Brady is that he placed second in the nation in a high school sports writing contest.

Rebekah Wilkins, Student Worker

Christina is a Senior, majoring in Forensic Chemistry. She loves all things chemistry: tutoring, researching...talking about it! Her favorite authors are Jane Austen and Ted Dekker. Her obsession is baking cupcakes.
